Treasure Island Check-In Question

Checking-in with my wife this coming Monday around noon, as guests of the hotel (we received a ';sage'; promo offer- 3nts, some gambling credit %26amp; buffet passes- comped). We also have a couple with us who booked a package deal with WestJet, separate from us (but we%26#39;re on the same WestJet flights as them, so will arrive together).

From previous responses on this forum, I know my wife %26amp; I are to check in at the hotel%26#39;s Special Guest/ VIP desk(whatever it%26#39;s called), as opposed to the regular check-in.

We%26#39;d obviously like to have adjoining or at least close-by rooms with our friends. Can we bring them along with us in the special check-in line?

Thanks to all!

Treasure Island Check-In Question

I am sure that the VIP ';people'; can check in anyone, so I would say to bring them with you. If for some reason they couldn%26#39;t help you, they%26#39;d tell you at that time, but I wouldn%26#39;t think it would be a problem!

Treasure Island Check-In Question

Are you sure you are entitled to VIP check in?? Did you get info to that effect from the hotel? Just because you have a comped room doesn%26#39;t mean you are eligible for VIP Check In...a lot of folks will be staying there on comped rooms.

No, we did not get the info. from the hotel about checking-in in the VIP lane. Rather, several posters here on TA responded to earlier questions I posted indicating I should use the special check-in as I was a guest of the hotel.

I really don%26#39;t care where I check in, I was just assuming as fact what I was told here. I%26#39;m just as happy to check-in in the regular line, thereby eliminating any potential issue with getting a room close/ adjoining our travel companions. I always assumed I%26#39;d use regular check-in until I was told otherwise here on TA.

sens.... it is not VIP checkin -- it is Invited guest check in. And it should not be a problem to bring your friends to the desk since you are travelling together. We did that last year with family who was not on that package and they tried to accomedate them (we were put on the same floor -- but on opposite ends).

I%26#39;ll see ya there!!!! We%26#39;re on the same deal.... look for me at the Big Wheel in the back by the sportsbook!!! I love that game.

Thanks pmleich, I knew that posters had called it something but not VIP check-in.

I%26#39;m working under the assumption checking-in should be relatively painless %26amp; quick since we%26#39;re checking-in at noon on a Monday. I%26#39;m also hoping we%26#39;ll get adjoining rooms with our tarvel companions, since Mondays are, I am assuming, a quieter day in Vegas (there are no big conventions in town that week- I already checked that).
