Transportation

I was wondering how long it takes to get from the Las Vegas strip to the Premium Outlets. I am looking at the cheapest way of getting there so that I can spend more money shopping!!!! I am staying at the MGM Grand, is there a bus that I can catch from there??? Also what%26#39;s the easiest way to get to freemont street? Any cheap dinner suggestions in downtown vegas??? Thanks in advance!

Transportation

I would imagine there is a local CAT bus that goes to the outlets although I%26#39;m not familiar with the details.

The least expensive way to get downtown/Fremont Street would be to take the double-decker Deuce bus. Since you%26#39;re coming from the South Strip, however, be prepared to sit on the bus as long as 90 minutes as it stops often on what is a busy street as it is. You may find it worth it to pay the ~$20 cab fare each way or, if you%26#39;re not imbibing, rent a car for the day.

Downtown dining is generally cheaper than the Strip overall. What do you like to eat? One place I would like to try that has received rave reviews here is the Triple 7 Brewpub at Main Street Station. If you want something *really* cheap, there%26#39;s always the fine selection at Mermaids. :) The deep-fried Twinkie is a true delicacy. ;)

Transportation

To the outlet mall, go to the front of the Excalibur on Las Vegas Blvd. There, you can jump on the Duece or the 15 south. Both take you to the southside tranfer station. At the transfer station, you can get on the bus that does a little loop around the Outlet mall.

Downtown dining. I liked the buffet at the MSS. You can get a two for one coupon at th four queens and take it to the Oxygen shack right therein the middle of Fremont St. Then you go to the players club at the MSS and they%26#39;ll take care of you..

Golden Gate has a shrim cocktail special plus they have good sandwiches that are reasonably priced. Lots of locals eat there.

The ACG has some coupons for Binions and other places there downtown but I can%26#39;t speak from first hand expeience as to how good they are.

You might want to wait for some responses from locals.

I think the Premium Outlets is on Charlston, not the one south of the Strip.

Also, many suggest the local 105 bus rather than the deuce bus to get downtown form MGM.

For the cheapest way (besides walking all the way there) walk East along Tropicana besides the MGM until you reach Koval. On the East side of Koval you can connect to local bus route 105 North. Ride the 105 until you reach the area of Wyoming and Las Vegas Blvd. Exit there and transfer to bus route 108 North. Ask the driver where to get off to transfer. The 108 will take you right to the Premium outlet mall. Return by reversing the route. Your round trip cost is $2.50 for a 24 hour bus pass. Enjoy your stay.

przyk is correct. The Premium is on Charleston while the Outlet center is on Las Vegas Blvd south.

And the 105 will take them direct downtown, correct?

The 105 North will take them downtown if they board at Koval and just stay on it. If they go to the premium outlet mall by way of the 108 North, and they want to go on to downtown from the mall, they can then get back on the 108 North at the premium outlet mall as it goes downtown from there.

How long of a cab ride would it be to freemont street and the premium outlets? Is it worth it to perhaps just rent a car????

If you are planninng on doing a lot of shopping, think how many bags you will have to shlep back. Renting a car for a day wouldn%26#39;t be a bad thing.

My only concern about renting a car is paying for parking. Is it expensive in vegas??
