Where to eat in the Wynn?

I enjoyed breakfast at Terrace Point Cafe on the little patio above the pool. I also had a nice breakfast at the country club.

I have eaten at the Wynn Buffet, Tableau, SW, Alex, Daniel Boulud, and Red 8. Red 8 was the only place I found to be disappointing. Alex, of course, is in a league of it%26#39;s own but you have to be prepared to shell out the big bucks ($400- $600 for 2.) The buffet is my favorite in Las Vegas, great variety, always fresh, and fanatastic desserts. SW is great for steak lovers- the Carpacio is divine. I think Daniel Boulud is a great choice for a wonderful meal with a good view of the Lake of Dreams- with reasonable prices for Vegas ($100-$150 per couple.)

Cheers,

They all look pretty good-are advanced reservations recommended i.e. before I leave home or is it likely I will get a table sorted out whilst i am there?

We ate at Tableau, Terrace Point Cafe, SW Steakhouse and the Buffet.

Honestly, I thought they were all overpriced, except the buffet. The service at Terrace Point was horrendous, but the food was good (no need for reservations). Tableau was disappointing for breakfast, so we didn%26#39;t go back. SW was outrageous for what you get. We had reservations; had to wait an hour even with the reservations; and the dinner for 2 was almost $400 with NO drinks and NO dessert. Needless to say, we didn%26#39;t go back there either.

Room service was excellent, and so was the buffet. Daniel Boulad was closed while we were there, and we never made it to the Country Club.

I had a really nice meal at Bartolotta - very good Italian/seafood. I was very disappointed with SW Steakhouse, but I know they%26#39;ve changed chefs since I was there, so maybe it has improved. I haven%26#39;t had the pleasure of trying Alex yet, but it gets rave reviews, if you can afford the splurge. Enjoy!

I agree with everything Jackand Sally said. SW is hit or miss so I wouldn%26#39;t try it again until it is more consistant.

I%26#39;ve been to SW many, many times, and it is one of my favorites.

And while it is a bit pricey, I found the prices comparable to most of the other prime steakhouses. I think there is either some exaggerating or poor memory being displayed by a previous poster, because I have no idea what you could possibly order there for two people that would bring the bill to $400 without drinks or desert. I can certainly see running a bill higher than that with drinks and a nice bottle of wine. But for the life of me, I don%26#39;t know how two appetizers, two salads and two entrees could be $400. So personally, I would take that review with a grain of salt. I would also be a bit suspicious of a comment that couldn%26#39;t find anything good to say about any place at Wynn. I thin this poster would have been a better fit elsewhere.

I would always advise that you make reservations in advance for any of the restaurants mentioned. Sometimes there will still be a bit of a wait, but you certainly won%26#39;t feel rushed once seated, so be patient and enjoy.

I will echo the other earlier response, Red 8 wasn%26#39;t that impressive. I think the food was decent (not spectacular), but the service was only fair. And I am not usually a big fan of restaurants that are open to the casino. Too much noise.

Wing Lei is insanely pricey, but the best chinese food I have ever had outside of Shanghai.

Reservations for dinner should be made in advance for all the fine dining restaurants at the Wynn. If you wait, you risk being shut our or only getting a choice of very early or very late reservation time.

Okada is fantastic. My favorite of the ones that I have been to.

We just had the prix fixe menu at Daniel B ($48 per person) you have to order this before 7pm but includes Aptzr./Entree/Dessert.

For me and my wife it cost $165 including a bottle of wine($32 Cote Du Rohne) and coffee and a cappacuino.

The view was nice and the food was very good.

Would reccomend
