I guess we picked a very slow week to visit, some of the shows are dark that week, ie Lance Burton, Penn %26amp; Teller. So I figure our chances of getting reduced tics the day of the show should be better. Or will it be more difficult, since there will be fewer shows?

Most shows are dark at least one day a week (sometimes 2) all year long. There is one large convention that week, but you still should be able to get tickets to almost any show without a problem.

I would not bet on getting tickets day of the show for those shows that are really popular (i.e. LOVE or O). Even during ';slow'; times these shows sell out. If there is something you really want to see I would advise getting them in advance.
