Cashing Travellers Cheques

Is it easier to cash travellers cheques at the casino cashier or at a hotel front desk?

Say three or four hundred at a time?

thanks

Cashing Travellers Cheques

I always cash my TC at the casino cage no problem. They may ask for some ID.

Cashing Travellers Cheques

As Jack said, never a problem at the cage. Three or four thousand at a time if you like.

ID is required.

I used travellers cheques for the first time last trip and was surprised how easy it was. Just walked to the cage and showed an ID. No hassle at all. Definitely a better way to go than carrying a lot of cash.

Don%26#39;t know anything about the front desk, but the cage is probably a better bet since their already handling money all day anyway.

Thanks. I%26#39;ve never been to Vegas before and my prior experience with TC%26#39;s is a daily max (usually $100/day). Of course our good friends in the casino

%26#39;s want us to spend as much as we can so they don%26#39;t care!

I have encountered more strict procedures at casinos in other states when cashing TCs, but never had a problem in Vegas.

I%26#39;m like everyone else. I cash my travellers%26#39; cheques at the cage. It%26#39;s never entered my mind to try the front desk -I don%26#39;t think they%26#39;re equipped to

cash any cheques, only to accept them as payment for the accommodations.

I%26#39;m planning to use US Dollar travellers cheques to pay for hotel accommodation in Las Vegas as well as Los Angeles. Has anyone done this, do they accept them? I%26#39;ve heard travellers cheques aren%26#39;t as popular anymore. I%26#39;ll have spending money and credit card for the rest of the stay so I%26#39;m not concerned about other shops/banks cashing them.

Thanks

I%26#39;ve used travellers cheques to pay for hotel and hotel room service bill no problems. Think the only time couldnt use one was in a small gas station other than that would recommend cheques definately just with some spare cash just in case!!!

Hey Dublin %26amp; Datk,

Did you read my post about paying for accommodation with travellers%26#39; cheques? Hotels do accept them without question if they%26#39;re in USD for your rooms and

incidentzal expenses that you signed for.

Don%26#39;t sweat the small stuff.

I also used TC to pay for things in shops and restaurants...they just give you the change in money..just need id..had no problems.
