Best beer in Laughlin?

Sounds like the brew pub at Colorado Bell is the place to go? And how is the food there?

In my opinion microbreweries make the best beers in the states.

Best beer in Laughlin?

The Bell definitely has the best beer. Their stout is outstanding. Since they changed ownership a while back, the food and service have suffered a bit. But it is still ok for snack foods like chips and salsa with your beers.

You will never be able to match the German brews however. My favorite was Dopplebach. (spelling?)

Best beer in Laughlin?

The Boiler Room at the Belle is the only microbrewery in Laughlin. Marshall is the brewmaster, and he offers Amber Ale, Golden Ale, Stout, and a special brew that he changes about once a month. Last week the special brew was an unfiltered Rasberry Wheat. I also agree that his stout is the best brew in the mix. In my opinion, his brews are OK, but I have had better at other microbrewery places. Certainly if you are in town and like beer, give it a try and see what you think. They had been offering a special of $.75/pint on Thursday (Thirsty Thursday), but I did not see the sign, so maybe that deal is off.

Also, another great beer option is the Sassy Sue%26#39;s Saloon at the Pioneer. They offer some great beers on tap. They have about 10 different selections, and included are a few very expensive exotic brews. My favorite is the Chimay Triple from Begium (8% abv). I have never seen this one offered on tap anywhere except at the Pioneer.

I ate twice at the Boiler Room last week, and my meals were just fine, and I thought the prices were reasonable. They offer real food only for dinner, but have snack type stuff (deep fried) for lunch.

The times we have tried the dinners in the Boiler Room since the changeover were not good. And the service was worse. The last time we were there there were ten customers in the entire place. It took ten minutes to get a waitress and thirty more to get served. The middle aged waitress was too busy playing grabass with a ';boyfriend.'; The food was pretty much akin to prison food. And believe me, I know. Very tasteless. My wife%26#39;s cheese and beer soup tasted like what I can imagine snot and chalk soup to taste like. The salad was wilted and the chicken was tough. When my wife requested that she replace the soup with something else prior to the main course, the waitress stared blankly like there was some sort of synaptic malfunction, and responded,

';OK...... I guess.';

You can certainly give it a try Jochem, but there are many, many, many more places for far, far, far better food along Casino Drive. Risk takers may like it I guess. By the way, the restaurant at Laughlin Ranch is terrific. We can have a sandwich after golf if you like.

grif,

let麓s have a snack at the Golf Club like you recommend.

I think, I will have a walk through the casinos in the evening when I can taste some Bell brews.

Jochen

mmmmmmmmmmmmmm.........Chimay........mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Can%26#39;t wait, can%26#39;t wait, can%26#39;t wait. :+)

Cheers,

Ali

Calm down there Ali-

In addition to the Chimay on tap at the Pioneer, they have two other outstanding brews on tap.

1. Maudite (8%ABV) This one is brewed in Montreal by Unibroue. It is a dark red amber and excellent.

2. 1554-- Brussels Style Black Ale. This one is brewed by the New Belgium Brewery in Colorado.

They have Bud and Coors too, and that is what most people order not knowing what other treasures of brews they have at Sassy Sue%26#39;s. An added bonus of this bar is the view of the river.

My ratings of the best beers in Laughlin as of last week in order: Chimay, Maudite, Stout at the Boiler Room and 1554. These are all on tap, and just my opinion. I am sure others have their favorites.

Thanks so much, CaSwede.....I%26#39;m taking notes!
