Ka - best seat for cheapest ticket

Hello,

I have directly reserve ticket from cirque du soleil%26#39;s offical site. At lowest price, I am offered with seat at section 202, row MM. I would like to ask if it is OK.

Your information is greatly appreciated.

I sat in that row/section and even though I%26#39;m someone that normally likes the front row for a show, I found that row MM was actually good for KA. You don%26#39;t want to sit up close for this one. The set of KA is wide and very tall so you get a good view from far back. You%26#39;ll do fine with those seats.

Hi Nb fiddler,

Many thanks for your information. Actually I torn between Ka %26amp; O. Looking foward to my first cirque du soleil show.

They are definitely two very different shows.

KA is not a typical Cirque type show. It does have a Martial Arts edge to it but not as much of the sets of acrobatic acts you normally see in Cirque shows.

KA%26#39;s stage is a big part of the show as much as the actors. It%26#39;s hydraulic and transforms into a number of different things from boat to rock face to a sand filled desert to many other things. There are many very interesting technical effects throughout the show. The set encompasses the entire theatre.

It has some amazing, very full sounding dramtic music and there are stereo speakers in every seat(Dont%26#39; worry it%26#39;s not overly loud).

I loved theatre and this show left me with many ';Wow! How did they do that?'; moments.

';O'; is more abstract and is more typical in the sense that it has a number of acrobatic acts strewn together to make up the show. The costumes were great but the music seemed simpler. Of course, the water stage is a major part in the show but the overall sets themselves are mostly kept simple. Your focus is on the performers and not the set. I didn%26#39;t like it anywhere as much as KA but of course my opinion is just one of many and many others absolutely dore ';O';.

If you do go for ';O'; instead of KA, again you don%26#39;t need to sit right up close. You can get seats in the Restricted View area for cheaper in the 203 section that are great as long as you%26#39;re not in the first two rows of the balcony. My seat was right next to the full price tickets and my view was actually not restricted(Maybe.05% restricted so that doesn%26#39;t even count).

Hi Nb Fidder,

Many thanks for your detailed analysis.

After reading articles in forum on Ka %26amp; O, I choose Ka with 30% doubt. With your comment, I believe my choice is 100% correct.
