I%26#39;m wondering, when flying from New York to Las Vegas, if anyone is able to view the Grand Canyon from the air?

We fly from KC so probably the same route as you. In the summer we come in more over Lake Mead, but in the winter come in more south and over the GC. I always sit on the right side of the plane (facing toward the cabin) and see the strip as we land....ahhhh what a sight ;)

Unlikely. You%26#39;d probably be approaching Vegas from the north via Utah rather than going over the canyon. If you%26#39;re really interested in seeing the canyon as part of your flight - and I have, it%26#39;s quite impressive - see if you can get a flight on American that stops in Dallas (their hub.) From Dallas you pretty much go due west and you fly right over the Grand Canyon.
