Landing in vegas at 7pm

I am coming to Vegas from New York and we land at 7pm on a sat. Can any1 please tell me how long it roughly takes from landing and collecting bags to getting to the stratosphere? We are wanting to visit downtown that night will we have enough time to go see it?

Thanks

Sure, downtown is open 24 hours..:)

The light show goes every hour with last show at either 23:00 or Midnight, can%26#39;t recall which.

Biggest issue is your incoming flight - is this an internal US flight, or are you arriving from the UK and have to do Immigration and Customs?

Also, how are you gettng to the Strat? Hire car? Taxi? Shuttle?

Sorry, missed the part about ';coming from New York';. So no Customs/Immigration...if you%26#39;re lucky you%26#39;ll have bags collected within 30 minutes after you land, but my experience is that it often takes a bit longer in Las Vegas.

So without knowing mode of tranport, either way you%26#39;d be at the Strat by 9:00 at the latest I would imagine.

We few in on US Air around 7PM and had our bags by the time we stopped at the restroom and walked to pick them up. Got a cab immediatly and were at the Flamingo by 7:45 and in our room by 8. But it can be hit or miss based on the attitude of the baggage handlers.

I wouldnt make any important reservations that first night. I usually fly in on a flight from new york that lands in Vegas at 7ish on saturdays. Good chance you will get there late. The airports in this area - ewr, jfk, lga notorious for backups on saturday afternoons.

Whats the rush???????

Fremont street will be there the next day.

Relax, drink, adjust too the time difference.

We are going to get a taxi from the airport to hotel. Last time I came to vegas i never went to DT and always wanted to see it, but as we are only there for 5 nights we have planned to go to a different club each night.

Also when we are exploring the strip is it best to split it up in2 three days?

Um, there%26#39;s no way you can see all of the Strip in one day.
