Rent a car or Not rent a car?

Our flight arrives around noon on a Saturday next month. We plan on checking in at the Imperial Palace and then, head straight to the Las Vegas Premium Outlets for a couple of hours of shopping before dinner at the Wynn. Is it worth renting a car for the day (in terms of time and cost saved) or are we better off taking a cab to the different locations? Also, is there a shuttle from the strip that takes you to the Premium Outlets? Thanks.

Don%26#39;t waste your money on renting a car. It%26#39;s more of a pain than taking a shuttle or taxi.

How long will you be in Vegas? You may find that renting a car is cheaper and more convenient.

I believe the outlet mall is right near the airport and car rental facility. You could rent a car and stop at the mall before checking in. Since you arrive at noon your room may not be ready that early, so shop first then check in.

Without a car it would be taxi from airport to IP to at least drop off luggage, then to mall by taxi or bus and back to IP.

Then probably taxi to and from Wynn.

Sounds much more expensive to use taxis with your plans.

I%26#39;d probably rent a car for just the day (24 hrs), turn it in the next day and then walk or use cabs after that.

This outlet mall is on Charleston-not the one on Warm Springs. I would rent a car from the airport for one day. This would save you cab fare to Imperial Palace, then the outlet mall and then Wynn and back to IP. You can usually return a car to a hotel . Imperial Palace has a Hertz desk but I would check to see the rates for other car rental agencies in surrounding hotels. Many have Dollar. This would give you 24 hours to go where you want without having to pay cab fare. Just be aware of the hours the car rental desks at the hotels- they usually close 4 or 5PM

Driving is not that difficult in Vegas. You can usaully avoid the strip traffic by using the side and back roads. Parking is free- just tip if you use valet parking.

Sorry about the mistake on the mall location. I just don%26#39;t get to the malls in Vegas very often. We all have different priorities I guess.

Thanks for all the advice. I think we will go ahead and rent the car from Dollar for a day.
