Hello everyone!
Let me start by appologizing for not reporting earlier, but we just got so busy with life. Better late than never. Thank you to all who gave us great tips on Reno. Spring Break at the nugget was great. We stayed in the new rooms which were expensive, but we loved the new comfy beds especially since we stayed there for 5 nights. It was a bit noisy with the traffic, but we got used to it. We loved the restaurants at the Nugget, especially Trader Dicks (yum, yum!). The kids loved the pool. We didn%26#39;t gamble much because of the kids, but we had fun when we could.
We had a rental car and really enjoyed exploring the Reno area. I must say, I found the people in Reno and in Nevada in general pretty friendly. The weather was sunny and warm while we were there. We went skiing on Mt. Rose and the kids are official Rosebuds now. We also checked out Virgina City and had a shot of whiskey at the ';Bucket of Blood';. We then went to Carson City and liked it so much we decided to stay the rest of our trip there. We checked out the kids museum and the state museum. Wonderful history and loved our stay in Carson. It was also alot closer to Lake Tahoe. We drove around the lake. What a magnificient ride! It is so beautiful there. How about the drive around Emerald Bay, Yikes! Pretty, but scary. I could go on and on. To round it up, we really enjoyed our stay. We loved the history, the people, the scenery, and the casino atmosphere. Can%26#39;t wait to go back again. We would like to try it in the summer next time.
loved reno, will be back!
Thanks for the trrip report! Sounds like a good time!
