Aladdin vs. Planet Hollywood

This question is for those of you that have visited the Aladdin - the new one, not the old one :) - and also been there since the conversion to Planet Hollywood.

I%26#39;ve only been in there when it was the Aladdin. Never cared too much for the casino as I thought the layout of the facility was confusing (or maybe I%26#39;m just getting old, crazy or both). Last time I was in there was to eat at the buffet (very good as far as buffets go) and there was construction everywhere. So confusing casino, construction, etc. was a big turnoff for me.

So here is my question. How does Planet Hollywood differ from the Aladdin?

Aladdin vs. Planet Hollywood

Somehow I missed going in there this last trip, but I did stay there in %26#39;05 and liked it quite a bit. The casino was a bit goofy but there were a lot of ';landmarks'; on the walls up high to easily get my bearings. I also liked the convenience of the elevators to the casino and rooms. Ihave read thogh that the one thing they really should have changed and didn%26#39;t was the pool deck. There is no better word to descibe it than lame.

I like the new art deco decor. It%26#39;s still a weird layout but at least you can find the entrance now and they put in a sidewalk so you can walk past the casino without having to go into it.

The 25 cent martinis are Commander%26#39;s Palace were great. I miss that restaurant.

night and day...the only element not changed are the pools.Actually I was very happy with the the Aladdin theme. We must be of the same age/mental status as the Casino was confusing to me.I was finally able to find landmarks on the walls and ceiling to better navigate the casino layout. The new casino is still somewhat confusing but less so.

Maybe part of my problem was the same as what Snidely referenced. I could never find the doggone door to get in the place!
