what not to miss

Hi to all the Vegas veterans,

I need your help...

Going to Vegas for the 1st time with my husband at the begining of July. Where would you recommend we stay and what shows,etc. would be a ';do not miss';. We don%26#39;t really gamble much, but we do like to party :)We are in our 40%26#39;s and our budget is not unlimited, however we do intend to splurge. Kids are staying with Granny:)

what not to miss

I%26#39;d suggest the strip, anywhere around Bally%26#39;s. So much to do %26amp; see just in that area. Maybe plan a late afternoon/evening trip to Freemont St.

I may catch grief for this, but if Wayne Newton is playing..great show, old Vegas feel. Wife loved Jubilee show at Bally%26#39;s.
