We plan on driving from Vegas to New York. What would be the best place in Vegas to rent a car and any advice on how long to spend on the trip, I%26#39;ve allowed 3 weeks.

From posts I have seen on this forum it would probably be best to make your car arrangements from home before you leave. Rates and rules are much different for non US citizens renting here.

The drive itself probably takes 5 or 6 days. So, 3 weeks would allow you plenty of time to stop in places of interest along the way.

You DEFINITELY want to make arrangements in advance. One way rentals of that magnitude are very different than a local rental. You might have trouble arranging that on short notice.

Also, you will want to check around with different rental companies as the price difference for a one way rental will vary from company to company. You would also have to look at one of the nationwide companies like Hertz or Avis and not some smaller company who might have an office in Vegas but not NY.

I dont think they allow you to travel that far !!!

There are companies called %26#39;driveaways%26#39;, they need cars transporting from Coat to Coast and they do not charge you for the hre, although they will require a refundable deposit, have a look on here:
