staying at the wynn last week of may.. expecting perfect sunbathing weather (how hot will it be??) however word on the forum is that the sun goes behind the shade after 3pm. is this right?

The pool area is very large, spanning much of the back of the hotel. It was laid out strategically such that some of the pool and deck area is always sunny, while some is always shady.

Many people look out at the pool from the entrance and assume the whole thing is in the shade by afternoon- they are mistaken. The far end of the main pool, the cabana bar and the european pool beyond remain in the sun later in the day.

Unless you are very lucky it will be 100 degrees, so you might want to consider mornings at the pool.

This time of year, the sun is blocked by the Wynn building starting around 3pm. Moreso on the northern end of the pool. The Southern end (European pool) is not affected as much.

In a few months the sun moves, and Palazzo blocks the sun to the Southern end of the pool.

It doesn%26#39;t matter to us, we love the pool in both Spring and Fall. But we are morning pool people. Enjoy!
