baby back ribs

wheres the best place to get baby back ribs in vegas? was in LA a few months ago and went to a restaurant called Houstons which served as good ribs as anywhere (sorry Tony Roma!) but don%26#39;t think there is one in vegas. any recommendations?

baby back ribs

Short answer Big Mama%26#39;s Rib Shack.

What you are going to find on the strip is not BBQ. Most joints either braise or boil the ribs, wraps them up in plastic wrap, throw it in the fridge, then grill them when ordered to reheat them. Being from London you know about boiled meat, yuck!

What I look for is real pit smoked ribs. Unfortunately not many places in LV does this, and those that do are not real good at like you find in the midwest, south, and southeast part of the country.

Big Mamma%26#39;s does it best in town, followed by Memphis Chapionship BBQ. But you are going to need a rental car to get to either of them.

I just had the bay%26#39;s at Ellis Isalnd, the BBQ place opens at 4 pm and get there by 330PM because everybody else does.

The ribs are good, I would get half rack since whole rack was huge- you get beans, slaw and corn cobb.

$11.99 fill or 9.99 half plenty of coupons where buy one get one.

Service was bad and you eat off of plastic plates and plastic cups but the ribs were very good.

Slots/VP were super tight there.

i don%26#39;t get it.. ribs is an american thing. how can vegas not have a good rib joint on the strip???

To YOU, ribs is an American thing. But in America, it%26#39;s also kind of a regional thing. You see a lot more bbq in the deep south and Texas.

I live near Boston and it%26#39;s darn near impossible to find decent bbq. Whereas, when I used to live in Orlando, it was everywhere.

Lots of steak joints (note, this does not mean prime steakhouses, but rather places like Ellis Island) will have serviceable baby back ribs, but they wouldn%26#39;t hold a candle to the real thing side by side.

Cos they got 52 states. Each one about as big as good ol%26#39; Blighty! Each with their own home grown regional ';speciality'; I asked this question too and was just as bemused by the answers.

sorry Tona Roma!! If you think TR has good ribs than any you%26#39;ll find in LV will do.

I concur on Big Mama - great sides also

You only find GOOD RIBS in Run down restaurants in Run Down areas of the city.

You want to be careful in certain areas of Vegas.

Tony R%26#39;s remains the only place in LV that served us inedible food...Such as way undercooked chicken lurking under a ';barbecue'; sauce ...Only place I Have needed to complain about the food in 10 visits to LV

Siddy

When%26#39;d we get 52 states? lol

Gawd all this talk about ribs makes me crave some. Nothing better than ribs so smothered in BBQ sauce that you can%26#39;t see the plate OR your fingers when you%26#39;re scarfing them down!!!!!!!!

Tony Roma%26#39;s sucks the proverbial big one. Worst food I have ever had in Vegas.
