I have been inside the Paris in Vegas and the casino and shops looks great. Why are their prices so much cheaper than surrounding hotels? You can%26#39;t compare Bellagio and Ceasar%26#39;s but I would think they would charge more for the great location.
Any ideas?
Why is Paris so low cost?
Ive stayed at the Paris a few times. As you said the casino and shops are great. Good food nice atmosphere. The problem is the rooms are smaller than most IMO and not very luxurious as far as bedding and furniture goes. The pool also leaves alot to be desired as far as im concered.
Why is Paris so low cost?
We stayed at Paris. Our room was quite nice, but not as elegant as we had hoped. We did not care for the casino. A lot of people say they don%26#39;t like the casino and the pool really needs somethng added to keep up with the other hotels. Perhaps that is why the price is lower. On the other hand, we thought the restaurants were really good at Paris and the location is superb!
We loved the Paris but it was a little snoozy. Believe what people tell you: you DON%26#39;T spend that much time in the room in vegas. :)
This may seem like a self-evident response, but room rates are set based on the ability to fill them. If people were mad for Paris and reserving everything nine months in advance, the rates would be a lot higher.
I think it is a good, serviceable property with some good things and some drawbacks. The reasonable room rates echo the fact that many other people feel this way too. If I am unfamiliar with a property, I rend to think I can learn a lot from a room rate. $49 a night basic rate can make me nervous. Just like $499 a night would raise my expectations.
Stayed at the Paris in March and found it to be far better than the other Harrahs properties with the exception of Caeser%26#39;s. Room I was in was recently renovated and very comfortable with large screen tv, nice sitting area and spectacular view. Have stayed at all the other Harrahs properties in Las Vegas, Reno, Laughlin and Tunica, with the exception of Bally%26#39;s, over the past 3 years and found the Paris to be better than all but Caesers. Aside from the room when you get off the Elevator you are maybe 40 yards from the Casino and then maybe 100 more yards to the Strip, this is not the case at most casinos in Las Vegas where you can have quite a hike from your room to Casino and Strip. Restaurants at Paris are terrific, cocktail waitresses are stunning, it seems less crowded at night than most strip casinos, Napoleans is a great little bar with entertainment area. My only negative is the Slots seemed tight but that seems to be the case at most Harrahs properties lately. I would not hesitate to stay there again.
I%26#39;ve stayed at Paris twice I think it%26#39;s a great property. While some say the pool is lacking, I believe that the rest of the property makes up for this. Yes the rooms aren%26#39;t as big as some of the others in it%26#39;s vicinity but the decor and atmosphere is still great.
I would actually stay there everytime I go to Vegas just for the location if it weren%26#39;t that I%26#39;m trying to stay at each major property on the strip.
If you are going as a couple as opposed to just with friends, I think Paris is a good choice.
Its cheaper because it smells like some McDonalds that you left in your car in the back seat, with all the windows up, on a hot summer day and then it slipped under the seat and got forgotten about. Almost like hot garbage....or some of have said, like cabbage farts...
I%26#39;m not sure what you expect them to charge. I expect them to be less than Ballagio and Caesars and more than Flamingo, Bally%26#39;s, Harrahs and IP. They usually are. The location is great but there is something about it that makes it Disney-esque instead of having the mystique of luxury that it needs to justify the higher price.
I really like Paris, stayed there in November, checking in again on Friday. I think that it is a good home base, great location, easy to navigate, easy to get to the strip, great buffet. My non-renovated room with a view of the Eiffel Tower and fountains was really nice. Don%26#39;t have any idea what the previous poster smelled. Maybe he was walking behind someone that ate a gas causing food?
I agree that Paris is great. I love Paris and I%26#39;m staying there again this May. I stayed there this past Super Bowl Weekend and had a great time.
