Will be staying at the Flamingo, and would like to know which Casino%26#39;s within walking distance have the best video poker machines? I prefer the .25 cent machines, and if they are at a bar ever better. Thanks for the help.
Best Casino to play Video Poker on the strip?
depends on the game - all are not the same.
what game are you looking for?
www.lasvegasadvisor.com will have some current info and hopefully someone has the web address of the VPFree yahoo webpage.
Best Casino to play Video Poker on the strip?
You should be able to find 25 cent machines anywhere.
The key is to look for the 9/6 machines for Jacks or Better (the usual beginner video poker game). These are the best machines. That means they pay 9 credits for a full house and 6 credits for a flush. There are a lot of 8/5 machines out there that give the house a bigger edge. I haven%26#39;t been to Vegas since last August but my parents were there recently and said it was getting harder to find the 9/6 machines but its worth looking for them.

I like this site for finding VP.

You may have better luck if you are open to going a little offstrip to places like the Palms.
It is getting harder and harder to find 9/6 full pay JOB machines on the strip. Many have 7/5 machines- even on the $5 ones! I think Wynn had some. The best place to find them- take the shuttle from Bill%26#39;s and go to the Gold Coast. They have loads of them. The Palms (across the street) also had some in August. You will have much better chances of finding them off strip rather than on the strip.
We like to play at Barcarrat bar and Fontana bar at Bellagio. I think they both have .25 vp.
If you like to play during the day go to Bill%26#39;s Bar at Harrah%26#39;s and play and have a drink with Bob, the best bartender in Vegas.
If you like to play at night move over to the Partytime Bar and play and chat with Ed, the second best bartender in Vegas.
I really don%26#39;t give a hoot about the odds I like to have a good time while playing and the bars at Harrah%26#39;s are the best. I have even won some money playing there.
I%26#39;m with Jack. You%26#39;re better off playing where the drinks are strong, come fast and free.
no quarter machines at either Fontana or Baccarat bar at Bellagio, at least last time I looked.
I spent hours playing JOB VP when I was in Vegas recently. I did best for drinks in Palazzo and Bellagio, worst at Planet Hollywood, but the machine I was on paid out more than any other on my trip, so I stuck around even though I was thirsty!
Taking drink/payout ratio into consideration, Mandalay Bay was pretty good, the machines paid out fairy consistantly, and their drinks service was solid.
We are Vegas Vets and VP nuts. If there are any full pay VP on the strip at the $.25 level, I have yet to find them. (exception is the Strat, which is not walkable) There are some full pay $1 machines at the Wynn
If you want to take a break from the strip, and want to play some full pay VP , take the free shuttle from Bill%26#39;s to the Gold Coast. The place is loaded with full pay quarter machines, even at the bartop.
If you can get downtown, the Plaza and Main Street Station are good for VP.
If you must stay on the strip, try to learn the strategies for Double Bonus, and Deuces wild. With todays multi-game machines, the JOB is 7/5, but the paytables on the other games on the same machine are not so ugly. Some of these are at Bally%26#39;s, Casino Royale, and the IP.
