Has anyone been to this buffet lately? I have reservations to take my mom on Mothers Day but have read some not so great reviews recently.
I have some concerns about the seating (some people get sat at an adjacent restaurant and have to walk over to the steakhouse to get their food?).
Also my mom is not a big fan of seafood (will there be enough other food to make this worth the $75 price tag?).
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks
Chris
A Couple of Questions About Bally's Sterling BuffetI was at the buffet in Jan. %26amp; the food was excellent as well as the service. I%26#39;m not a fan of seafood myself, %26amp; find the steaks, prime rib, chicken to be excellent %26amp; so is the champagne. To us it is worth the $75.00, best food for a buffet.
A Couple of Questions About Bally's Sterling BuffetWe%26#39;ve been a few times and have sat in both the main room and the adjoining room. We actually preferred the adjoining room - although slightly farther to walk for your food, much less crowded and quieter.
Looking the complaints, it looks like there are a few people upset about the VIP seating arrangements and I don%26#39;t get the impression they actually ate there based on the review. One clearly ought to be pulled for hearsay. I wouldn%26#39;t let a few people with axes to grind dictate your choices.
I ate there a few months ago just before their latest price hike to $75. I think it is the best buffet in Vegas but here is what you should know.
1. Only open Sundays.
2. Beef tenderloin--not prime rib
3. Sushi made to order
4. Small desert area--a weak area
5. Best champagne at any buffet (Wynn serves Freixnet for example)
6. High level of service (depsite being a buffet)
It was definitely worth it and I would go again even with the latest price hike. The one thing some people might miss is prime rib. My girlfriend likes filet mignon so the tenderloin was a big upgrade for her but it wasn%26#39;t for me.
We booked the SB for june. We are really looking forward to it. With the closing of BKB, they are moving SB to the Steakhouse.
By the way, the Sterling Brunch has always been inside the Steakhouse. The other buffet has always been completely separate.
It%26#39;s the champagne that makes it worth the $75.
